Project Overview
Miyoko’s Creamery is one of the best-known names in plant-based dairy, making cheese and butter from cultured plant milk since 2014. When it launched a new 100% plant-based cheddar, the question was simple: how does it stack up against dairy and non-dairy competitors? Miyoko’s asked True Stories for launch content that would answer that question in a way mainstream shoppers and vegan dairy skeptics would actually believe.
Challenge
Miyoko’s cheese tasted great, but plant-based products still had a credibility problem with mainstream audiences. Another brand telling people its cheese was delicious wasn’t going to change that.
Approach
We started where the answer was most obvious: with kids. A blind grilled cheese taste test pitted Miyoko’s plant-based cheddar against dairy and non-dairy competitors, judged by the most honest critics alive.
Results
A series of films and content that helped launch new products and bring the warmth and personality behind Miyoko’s to life during a key chapter of the brand’s growth. Instead of a brand making claims, audiences watched the toughest critics around decide for themselves.
